Atlanta Housing Two Years Away from Full Recovery

Rentals in Atlanta should prove to be good investments as Metro Atlanta home values will not regain losses from the Great Recession until the first quarter of 2016, according to the second quarter Zillow Real Estate Market Reports. For the second quarter, metro Atlanta home values averaged $149,000 -- up 18 percent year of year, but still down 14.7 percent from the market peak. Average Apartment rent at all time high!

Metro Atlanta Apartment rental rates have rising 4.51% over the past year. This average of $876.17 is a new high and indicates that the rental market in and around Atlanta is strong. Vacancies are down also.Demand is up now that consumer confidence has risen. The pent=up demand of adult children who lived at home and the roommate who wants their own place is helping also.
